Old Graveyard is a mostly abandoned place that can be reached through Route 5. A few Ghost-type Pokémon can be found here at night, and they are the first Ghost-type Pokémon the player can encounter and catch in the wild.

Description

From the entrance, a small dilapidated house is present to the right, which is inaccessible and seems to have been damaged over time. Turning left leads the player through a few rows of tombstones to another abandoned structure, where Rebellious Girl Lannie is waiting for a match. After defeating Lannie, the player can bypass the stone structure at the end of the concealed path to the right, before he or she can pick up a Spell Tag behind the haunted building.

Old Workshop

Near the start of the location, players can get access into the abandoned Workshop by using the Gearheart Key from the NPC at Rosecove City. Entering it, players are greeted with a messy place with tools and items littered around. Going up the upper floor, there's a workbench with some unfinished project in the making and a note from the old tinker reads;

"My hands no longer shapes as they ones did. The fire in the forge burns still, but the fire in me... dims by the day. Magearna lies unfinished. Her body rests peacefully, waiting for her final touch. I have crafted her frame, forged her arms, polished her eyes, but her heart remains separate. Not lost... only.. waiting. I had hoped to see her rise, to see her stand beside my granddaughter as I once did. But time, as always, choose its own path."

The Workbench on the upper floor

Assembling the "Living Machine"

Players need to find 5 parts to be able to build Magearna. They are scattered around Roria with some required items and help from your own Pokemon.

Mechanical Arms

At Anthian City - Park District, the pair of arms is located inside the Power Station. Players can easily spot it on the shelf next to the red toolbox.

Soul-Heart and Ornate Plating

Both of these items are being displayed at Anthian Museum, secured in a strong glass case. The players can use the move Teleport with their Pokémon to set them out to Roria. Afterwards Soul-Heart is found at Glistening Grotto glowing near the pond, while Ornate Plating is available at Route 10 inside the windmill next to the crates.

Polished Lens

In Fluoruma City there's a Gemstone miner that can offer you an item of beauty if you exchange him a Prism Scale. After the deal you will be able to get the Lens.

Strange Gear

Magearna awaken after fully assembled

The gears are located deep inside the Aircraft hangar of Eclipse Base at Crescent Town. In the hangar you will be able to find the pile of gears on a crate near the blue container. In the gear pile there's a particular piece that stands out the most.

After collecting all of the parts, return to the workbench and start reassembling them. Once fully completed Magearna will start activated and engage in the battle with you. Players are recommended to have their Pokémon healed and prepared before proceeding. Purchase a lot of Dusk Balls in Poké Ball Emporium, Anthian City - Shopping District if necessary. You only have one chance to catch it, so save beforehand and turn off Autosave.

Trivia

  • On the right side of background in battles, there is a headstone with "RIP Tbradm" engraved on it.
    • Tbradm was one of the lead developers of the original Brick Bronze and wrote the scripts for most of the game. It can be seen as ironic now, as the original PBB is gone as well as these developers, that 'RIP Tbradm' can be taken in a literal sense.
  • Since Murkrow is as difficult to catch as some Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, it is recommended to use the Dusk Ball found in Silvent City in order to successfully catch one.
  • Behind the dilapidated house on the left side, there is a t-posing white dog. The character is a dog named "Brian" from the cartoon series "Family guy"
