Fire type is one of the 18 Pokémon elemental types. This is one of the 3 main types of Pokémon, as all Starter Pokémon either belong to this type, Grass-type, or Water-type. Most Fire-type Pokémon have high offensive stats, but on the other hand, they tend to be rather fragile. However, Fire-type Pokémon resist attacks from a variety of types to compensate and many attacks of this type are capable of burning opponents, crippling their Physical Attack stat and eliminating threats from a number of Pokémon relying on Physical moves, while Fire-type Pokémon themselves are immune to this status. Brimber Gym Leader Sebastian specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.
