Mouse Holes

Mouse Holes

Mouse Holes are special gaps in the wall, found in a range of buildings across the vast region of Roria. They were added to Project Bronze Forever on the 17th of November, 2022. Mouseholes have a small chance during the night (1/5), for a Pokémon's eyes to be able to be seen through them. If they are, players can interact with it to encounter a Pokémon. Otherwise, it is possible to leave the area and return to have another chance of encountering it.

Mouse Hole Locations

These mouseholes are scattered all across the map. The first one is located in the town where the player's journey started, Mitis Town. Here, the mousehole is present in a small, one-storied house to the right of the player's home. Inside the house, the mousehole can be seen on a wall next to the inhabitant's cabinet.

Fortulose Manor

Upon entering Fortulose Manor, via Route 9, the player is required to walk forward into a door which leads them to an eerie dining hall. After the player enters the dining hall, they need to take a few steps to the right into the kitchen. The player can then see and interact with a mousehole present near the haunted mansion's refrigerator.

Anthian City

In Anthian City, mouseholes are present in specifically the Anthian City - Shopping District. The first location requires the player to enter the famous restaurant, El Ludicolo Loco and walk over to the far left side of the building where a mousehole can be found.

Another mousehole located at Anthian City - Shopping District, is present at an alley to the left of the Anthian City Stone Shop. Upon entering the alley, the player is greeted with a bunch of garbage, junk and graffiti. Amidst the chaos, the player can find a mouse hole next to an ominous red door.

Fluoruma City

In Fluoruma City, the mousehole is present in the house opposite to the local Pokécentre. As the player enters the house, they set their eyes on a small, yet cozy living space. The mousehole can be seen at the far corner next to the inhabitant's refrigerator.

Frostveil City

Upon exiting the Frostveil City Pokécentre, the player can find a mousehole if they enter the building to their right. When the player enters the structure, they feel a kind warmth, created by a tame campfire. The player can then see and interact with a mousehole present next to a weary traveler.

Trivia

• Mouse Holes, similar to Mints, are features exclusive to Project Bronze Forever - they did not exist in the original game. Other mainline Pokémon Games also do not have them.
• When an encounter is available from an active mouse hole, the red eyes visible are actually the eyes of Rattata.
• Despite being an encounterable rodent, Morpeko's design and personality is actually inspired from guinea pigs and hamsters, neither of which reside in mouseholes.
