Event

Winter 2024

A Winter Event being the first to include new content since 2022, it lasted from 19th January (Tier 3 players) or 23rd January (regular players) until the 28th of February 2025 - featuring Christmas special Sceptiles originating from the 2017 Christmas Event, while also having new reskin Pokemon. These were obtainable in an entirely new area accessible through the RTD, called the North Pole. Information on how to obtain these is below. In addition you could obtain one of exclusive Galar Pokemon, including Galar Darumaka or Mr. Mime.

Sceptile

The following is a guide on how to obtain the Christmas Sceptile and its mega stone, just as it was in PBB. Start by talking to the man under a new Christmas tree just before the frozen lake on Route 15. Apparently, he already finished decorating it, but a thief Pokémon stole all the decorations on it. He needed some Pokémon to help inspire him how to decorate the tree again. The first Pokémon he requested was Minior, which is rarely found in Cosmeos Valley starting from this event. Minior comes in 7 colours for its core: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, which are the same colours as a rainbow. Bring 6 different colours out of all 7 to the man, and he would find the inspiration again.

Next up the man wanted another Pokémon to assist him on wrapping some other decorations on the Christmas tree. The second Pokémon he requested was Comfey, which could be spotted in the flower garden on Route 10 once this event began. This time player was only required to catch 1. Bring it to the man and he would complete the tree, except that the star was missing. He gave the final request of finding 3 packs of Stardust and 1 Star Piece, which were the special items required to craft the star. Conveniently, Staryu on Rosecove Beach can hold either of them, while Star Piece can also be scarcely found in Lagoona Trenches.

After delivering all 4 items to the man, he could then finish the star and fully restore the Christmas tree. He gave the player Sceptilite C as reward, which was apparently dropped by the thief Pokémon at the same spot last year. The afore-mentioned thief Pokémon was actually lurking in the snow piles on Route 15 as a random wild encounter, revealing itself to be Christmas Sceptile which has its orbs light up like a Christmas tree.

Finally, there is a chance to obtain certain regional Pokemon. To do this, you must first enter Anthian City - Park District, where there is a Christmas tree. Talk to the man standing just next to it, who says he's a lawyer on the naughty list. He tells you that you can find Santa on rooftops anywhere overnight only and asks you to defeat him in a battle. Go to any city overnight, and check the rooftops, where Santa will be on one of them. The following battle then occurs as you can interact with Santa:
