Egg move chains

Pick a Pokémon and one of its egg moves. You get the shortest breeding chain to it, starting from a father you can catch.

Raichu-AlolaElectricPsychicFairy, Field
It hatches as Pichu, so these are Pichu's egg moves.
No breeding needed.
The move tutor in the Colosseum Marketplace teaches Bide to Pikachu, so teach it before you evolve it for $35,000 or 50 BP. You reach the Battle Colosseum after the Arc Badge.
One breeding gets Bide onto Raichu-Alola.
PachirisuPichu
  1. Catch a male Pachirisu. It has Bide from level 1. If it does not know it, the Move Reminder in the Colosseum Marketplace teaches it for a Heart Scale or $20,000.

  2. Leave it at the Lagoona Day Care with a female Pikachu. They share the Fairy and Field egg groups.

Any female of these works as well: Raichu, Raichu-Alola.
The egg hatches as Pichu knowing Bide. Evolve it into Raichu-Alola. It keeps the move.
  3. Raichu-Alola with Bide.

How breeding works here

  • Leave a male and a female that share an egg group at the Lagoona Day Care. The egg hatches as the mother's first stage.
  • Either parent passes on an egg move it knows, however it learned it.
  • A Pokémon that is male only or genderless breeds with Ditto. Ditto passes on nothing.
  • Pokémon from codes, the roulette, Looao or tokens cannot breed.
  • Some babies need an incense on the mother (or on the parent paired with Ditto): Munchlax needs a Full Incense, Azurill a Sea Incense.
