Incineroar is famous in doubles but not really that good in single so dont expect much from it.
•Knock off / Crunch : Dark STAB, knock off for the item removal utility and Crunch for the high BP and change to drop enemy defense. •Trailblaze : your only way to be faster and outspeeding enemy. •Swords dance : To increase your attack power. •Flare Blitz : Your strong BP STAB move ( be careful about the recoil ).
Items • Leftovers : to heal Incineroar per turn and helping with the recoil. • Duty Boots : To avoid hazards that hurt Incineroar even more.
Note : Trailblaze first then swords dance and kill as much as you can, if it manage to kill 2 or 3 mons, dont be afraid of losing Incineroar (unless its important for specific match-up).
Fake out is obvious as a lead support role in doubles to guarantee one turn to set up or get free damage and chip onto opponents first turn on the field and in general a really good support move. Parting shot also assists switching out to be able to reuse fake-out upon the next time inciniroar switches in along with also the benefit of lowering the opponent's attack and special attack by 1 stage each, however as this is also an egg move aswell as a sound based move if need be you can use u-turn until you get one with parting shot and it seems better to your play style. knock off also is a really useful support move being able to get rid of most held items by opponents (as it doesnt remove mega stones or z crystals) which will make it sightly difficult to use a specific mon as it can hinder recovery via leftovers or berries, or also decrease damage output from a mons moves that has lost its damage boosting item or scarf. Finally, flare blitz as relieable damage and also benefits from the recoil to activate its health restoring berry sooner, however some may also consider using leftovers for more consistant health recovery. also if you're worried about recoil other moves can also be used like taunt, wisp, fire fang helping hand. reason for max sp.def investment on this one is intimidate will already lower opponent's physical attack stat and infront of defiant and competitive mons is competitive mons would gain a higher stat boost to as there is no special intimidate equivalent
The given EV spread allows Incineroar to survive a Drain Punch from Iron Hands after taking damage from Stealth Rocks and outspeed Ogerpon during Tailwind. The remaining EVs are allocated to Attack.
When Darkinium Z is used with Parting Shot, Incineroar is able to fully heal the ally it switches into, allowing bulky setup Pokemon like Tapu Fini and Diancie a second chance to sweep.
